Camille Dupuis studied textile design, now she likes working in volume, exploring various skills based on folk arts :

felting, knitting, pompoms, embroidery, sewing, basketry...

 

Inspired by natural sciences, everyday objects or religious traditions, she observes each topic with child eyes and an animist point of view.

Her creations convey poetic and protective qualities and then become totems, talismans, shelter or relics.

 

Under the label Cam Dup, she creates unique pieces and small collections, for customers, decorators or retailers.

Camille Dupuis also expresses herself through collective projects, installations and set design.

As much as possible, materials, objects and paddings are upcycled : secondhand garnments and packaging, vintage balls of yarn,

lost and found, purchases in flea markets and associations, etc. No waste  !

 

Many creations are born from this gleaned materials. Natural materials are also prefered.
